Facebook is offering advertisers a new option for targeting ads to their audiences.
Key points:Advertisers will have a choice of the “best ad for you” and “worst ad for your audience” options.
A new “best ads for you for Facebook” campaign is also being launched.
Advertiser choice will be determined based on Facebook user behavior.
Facebook says the ad campaign will be launched in Australia on April 15.
A spokesperson said Facebook had been working with advertising experts for the past three months to make sure it had the right mix of relevant, relevant and relevant ads to reach the right audience.
“We will be testing and refining this campaign with the industry, industry partners and advertisers as part of our wider advertising strategy, to find the right blend of ads for Facebook audiences to reach and engage with their audience,” Facebook spokesperson Robby Walker said.
“Advertisments can choose to target the best ads for them based on how many times a day they see them and the time of day.”
“This will give advertisers the ability to reach their target audiences with a range of advertising messages and targeted messages across multiple audiences, with different time windows.”
Facebook is testing the ads for the Australian market to make them more relevant for Facebook users.
The Facebook ad campaign is available on the company’s ad platform in Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
The advertising industry has been critical of Facebook in recent years.
Facebook’s Chief Executive Officer Sheryl Sandberg last year called the company a “poverty factory” and the chief executive of ad-buying firm DoubleClick was forced to resign in the wake of a series of controversial ads from the social media company.
Earlier this year, Facebook said the ads were designed to reach Facebook users who “haven’t done anything to improve their experience”.
The social media giant is also considering adding new features to its ad platform, including targeting advertising on the mobile web.
