The new Star Wars movie is a total failure, according to its most prominent star.
The Oscar-winning actor said the film “will not do anything for the film industry or Star Wars” and said he would be boycotting the film’s release if it was made.
“I’ve seen so many films that are so amazing, I’m so excited for them to be released, but I don’t believe in a franchise like that, I think that’s just wrong,” Oscar winner Harrison Ford said on Tuesday at a press conference.
“This is the best possible franchise I could ever imagine, but it is not the Star Wars franchise.”
“It’s the most expensive, it’s the best-executed film I’ve ever seen, but that’s it.
That’s it,” he added.
“There’s nothing to it, it just ain’t Star Wars.”
Ford was speaking at the premiere of the new film, which opens nationwide in December.
“When I started working on the script I thought, ‘This is it.
This is what I want to be able to say in my final movie,'” Ford said.
“The truth is, it wasn’t even going to happen.
The script was never going to be completed, so I was trying to figure out how to make the best movie I could possibly make.”
The new movie, set to be directed by J.J. Abrams, follows the story of Han Solo and Luke Skywalker, the heroes of Star Wars: The Original Trilogy.
The new film also stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Carrie-Ann Moss, Andy Serkis, and Oscar nominee John Boyega.
“It was like, ‘How do I say this in my last movie?
“What it’s about is the journey of the character, the journey to do what you love, the struggle of it. “
And what’s most important to me is the film. “
What it’s about is the journey of the character, the journey to do what you love, the struggle of it.
And what’s most important to me is the film.
And I thought it was just the best thing that could have happened to the franchise.
And it just wasn’t.
It wasn’t right.”
Ford also said the Star Force film was “just as bad as any other movie” and that he will be “not participating in any more Star Wars films.”
